Les Petrie
Les Petrie, CMKBD, came to his career in custom kitchen design with an impressive history of sales, training and design experience in what was then an emerging x-ray/medical imaging industry.
Possessing this wealth of knowledge, Les put his experience to good use and fulfilled his entrepreneurial dreams with the purchase of Mother Hubbard’s Custom Cabinetry in 1986. He soon earned his CKD and CBD credentials, and was one of the first CMKBDs in the nation.
This leadership posture continued to shape the remainder of his long and illustrious career, as Les has held nearly every officer position at both the chapter and national levels of the NKBA, including serving as president in 2003. Les has also won national and regional design awards, and continues to serve as a guest speaker at industry and allied association functions both here and abroad.
Les continues to write for local and national publications, and currently practices as an independent designer and NKBA instructor from his home in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
